I could have bought a whole game with that!
Anyway I did pick up the free slot and upgraded my characters a bit so I'm pretty happy now. However I am going to keep an eye out for this later if they decide on some type of package deal around Christmas and see if it's worth it.

The official GW site has a link up to the NCSoft store where you can purchase slots. If you click buy now, you'll see where it has the promotion for a free one you type in for a coupon.

Not planning on buying any, like others, I'll just buy more mules if I need more room.
One nice thing about mules is that when you get bored with your current chars, you can turn a mule into a playable toon.
I'm most likely not even going to get the free pane, either, because I don't want to create a PlayNC master acct and link my GW accts with it - one hears too many horror stories around here about problems with the PlayNC accts for me to want to chance it.
I'm a packrat, like so many people in the game, but I find it good to totally run out of space now and then because it forces me to get rid of a lot of crap that I've been hanging onto forever that I know I'm never going to use anyway.
The small equipment bags will probably be sufficient for me, even if they are a bit on the pricey side.

4. And it's wonderful. My characters are finally cleared of their unnecessary burdens and I've got storage well organized with space to spare. Will be getting the free one when the website becomes un-crap (which... well, okay, maybe never) and am excited about cleaning off a few mules and having at least one legitimate PvP-only character that I can switch around as needed.
I'd like a name change for my main, but $15 is a bit too much right now and considering the scare about not being able to use customized items. I might not do a name change but if gets cheaper at some point in time I may.

4 tabs and a makeover kit. The convenience is worth it to me, I hate changing characters 14 times trying to find what I'm looking for. Also my ele and mes have way better hair now /girliness

If I did it would have been my 7th account.. I don't really need more mules, just the simplicity of moving items around inside storage.

I bought all four, plus the freebie of course.
I didn't have to, I didn't need to, it doesn't give me an unfair advantage over anyone - I just wanted to.
Thanks, ANet.

Sigh. Freedom of speech does not exist on the internet. Nor does it work like you think it does in reality.
Anyway, I haven't bought any panes yet - haven't even managed to get the free one (come on NCSoft! Cooperate!). I will probably end up buying at least one at some point, just because it's far more convenient than mules. And I know I'm going to get a makeover kit - I want to play my Ranger, but I hate how she looks, but I don't want to delete my oldest character. So I'm going to pretty up some of my characters

$9.99 is too much being able to buy a new character for that much means that its not an attractive option, sure you have access to it across all characters but is it that hard to hop on your mule char swap the item with a one in storage and then hop back and take it out? maybe like 5.99 would have been a good price.
oh and P.S i bought no extra panels nor will i in the future, not like i need them anyway.
oh and the "free" one that require zcoins requirement is stupid, 50 gold zcoins might not be too much for those who play everyday and thus do every single one of the quests and gvg stuff etc, but for casual players its too much me thinks.

I've got none yet. I only plan on getting 1 makeover kit as my monks hair clips and my prophecies Ele has grey hair which needs a wash & blowdry
I seriously doubt I'll buy any more panes tho as I think they are a bit expensive when compared to buying a new char slot. If they were half the current price I'd probably buy 1 or 2 but money is tight these days.

I got the freebie, but I have no intention of buying more.
This is not a QQ. I am thankful for the free extra pane. There's just no need to pay for more, especially when you can get an extra char slot for the same $9.99 and get 45 spots instead of 20 (47 if you count equipped weapons).
